Tulsa Air and Space Museum

In a couple of other posts I have talked about how well Eli is doing in school, which is a huge blessing to us! Since he had two straight weeks of getting all 5 pennies each day (his reward system at school), we promised him we would do something extra special. So, on Sunday afternoon we took him and Brynne to the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. He. loved. it!!

Brynne was actually a little bit scared of the planes. I think she honestly thought they were going to take off with her in them. Eli couldn't get enough.

We had fun at the Imagination Station exhibits, and sat in each plane we could.

Even daddy had some fun!

Each of them got in a space capsule and posed as astronauts. Then they rode some space ride thing with Rick and used hand controls to guide it and shoot a laser at a target. The volunteer at the exhibit told us he was going to take Eli hunting with him. He was a perfect shot!

His favorite thing, though, was playing at the air traffic control center. They have a live feed to the control tower so he could hear about the planes coming in and taking off. And maneuvered the controls pretending he was taking his plane from Earth to Mars.

Brynne and I just enjoyed sitting in the airline seats watching the t.v.

After a break at the playground outside, we went to the Planetarium to watch "The Secret of the Cardboard Rocket." They enjoyed feeling like they were flying through space and visiting the planets.
