Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today ~ October 20, 2009

Outside my window... it is dark still, but the temperature seems nice.

I am thinking... about that simple life I desire.

I am thankful ... for a husband who would move mountains to make me happy.

I am wearing... workout clothes.

I am remembering... my trip to Portland and what it opened up for me.

I am creating... nothing! I am on a much-needed couple of days off before it's time to plan the next birthday party.

I am going... to have to drive Kyndal into school because she missed the bus. Urgh!!

I am reading... my new Good Housekeeping magazine.

I am hoping... that I can remain patient.

On my mind... is that whirlwind of feeling like I am just not where I am supposed to be and that there is a different way of life I am to be living.

From the learning rooms... this is the last week of first quarter. Accelerated Reading goals need to be met this week.

Pondering these words... "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me." ~ from my husband this week.

From the kitchen... we are eating week one of our Aldi only menu. The Pepperoni Pockets were a hit with everybody! We will definitely be keeping those in our meal rotation.

Around the house... are little pieces of confetti leftover from Dawson's birthday party.

One of my favorite things... is seeing true joy and happiness on the faces of my kids. I saw a lot of that over Fall Break.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Both today and Thursday afternoons I am making lesson plan copies for Eli's teacher. Brynne has soccer practice tonight and a game on Saturday. Eli and Brynne's walk-a-thon is Friday (if you would like to make a donation, you have until Friday to mail me a check! They each still need $40 to meet their goals!) Thankfully, as you can see, this is going to be a quiet week! We need one of those!

From my picture journal..

Dawson with his Papa at his surprise birthday party on Saturday. Dawson's dad, aunt, cousins and grandparents all drove in from Missouri for the party.
