Tomorrow was going to be my first day without any of my babysitting kids. I had a quiet morning planned.
And Friday morning Brynne was going to go to a friend's so I was going to have the morning to myself. And then Rick and I had a mid-day date planned with lunch here ... together ... alone. Now we'll be having lots of company.
Shoot.
Well, we still have our date scheduled for Friday night and we're having friends over to play cards on Saturday.
If I can just make it through the next two days.
It's always so strange to me that other areas will cancel school days ahead of time because there is a "chance" of bad weather. I guess we are so used to bad weather around here it doesn't faze us much. They usually don't make the call until the morning of the day in question.....if they even cancel at all!! Mainly because most of the time it's not as bad as what they are predicting.

Bummer on missing out on a mid-day date & some time for yourself. I told my kids we are going to do school anyway. I know it sounds mean but when they have things to keep them busy they don't get into as much trouble. :)

ReplyDeleteright now the temp feels like is -24 below zero here so i'm glad there is no school for us! tomorrow is going to be worse.
we are vegging and watching lots of movies and reading lots and lots of books!
I feel for you! Here, the kids were back for 2 days this week and have been home yesterday, today, & probably Friday too because of -40 wind chills! Blizzard #3 for us. It always amazes me how well the kids play alone but them give em a snow day and it all breaks loose (especially since it's too cold to send them outside).
