What Kind of Religion are you Practicing?

A verse jumped out at me last week and hit me square between the eyes and I haven't been able to get it off my mind:

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
~ James 1:27

Seems pretty simple.

Makes me wonder what the heck I've been doing in my "religious" life all these years. Thought I was doing what I was "supposed" to do. I think I thought wrong.
