It's time for a challenge.  This next week I am going to do my best to only go to Aldi and try not to buy anything "boxed".  Instead, I'm going to plan to make a couple of homemade snacks, and everything else homemade, and see if we can stay away from processed foods.  Wish me luck. I'm certainly going to need it!  (BTW ~ This doesn't count bread because I don't have a bread maker).

  1. Wow, milk is expensive by you guys!

We've been doing our best to shop sales and match with coupons since the beginning of the year. But haven't taken the time to blog about it every week. We got some good deals this week.

  2. Milk is something we are not prepared to buy sales on. The milk at Braum's is chemical and hormone free and has the cleanest taste of any milk I have ever tasted! It's $3.69 a gallon, and I could buy cheaper milk at about $1.99-$2.50 a gallon, but my family would flip. I have always hated to drink milk until we started drinking Braum's!!

  3. What kind of laundry detergent do you use? I've never used anything other than Tide (husband and son have sensitive skin) and it is the most expensive. Any tips?

  4. Just because you don't have a bread maker doesn't mean you can't make bread. I make a really simple Amish White Bread and some other simple bread that don't take a whole lot of time or energy and my family loves them.
