After seeing the The Resurrection last night, we made Resurrection Cookies. This morning we bit into them to find that they were empty. {Jesus had risen from the tomb!}
We opened our Easter baskets to see what goodies we got, then headed out for our Easter egg hunt. Once we collected the eggs we sat down to go through the numbered plastic eggs. These were our Resurrection Eggs. Each one held a scripture and a trinket to help demonstrate the last days of Jesus and his Resurrection. It was a neat time to share as a family.
We sat on our back porch for a couple of hours because the weather was so beautiful! The puppies played the whole time and were exhausted and ready for a nap.
We freshened up and went into town to eat at Cracker Barrel. We had such a fun time playing checkers and eating and laughing.
Then I came home and made us a cake. I know .. you are probably wondering why I don't go into the cake making business.
The Taulmans (and Suhrs) hope that you had a wonderful day with your loved ones and felt Jesus' Resurrection Power all around you.

Glad you had a blessed Easter!
