We made another quick trip to Kansas City this weekend. We found a listing for a historic home built in 1880 in the city we are desiring. It's well within our price range, on an acre lot in town, close to the square and just downright amazing! It has 4 bedrooms, a huge laundry room, a huge updated kitchen, two living areas (one of which we are thinking would be an amazing master suite making the home 5 bedrooms), an office, a dining room, 2 1/2 baths, a coffee porch, a garden shed, a greenhouse, gardening boxes, huge huge huge oak trees, a koi pond, wraparound porch, landscaping galore, an arbor covered in rose bushes, and to top it off a wooden swing hung from one of the oak trees. Can I just say, "WOW!" It was even more amazing in person than we saw in the pictures.
Our realtor really thought we should make another trip up to see it. We left Saturday morning and drove straight there with three of the kids. We checked into our hotel room and then went to view the house. Because we loved it so much we met with the realtor and made an offer, contingent on the sale of our home. We haven't heard back yet about our offer.
We took the kids out to eat and then my sister (who lives 10 minutes from there) met up with us at the hotel and watched the kiddos swim while Rick and I wrote up the offer.
We stayed the night at the hotel, swam a little more this morning, and then headed back home.
We are wiped out!
Kyndal leaves for church camp tomorrow morning. We have a Broker's Open House at our home on Tuesday. I have my rescheduled surgery on Wednesday morning. Whew! Life around here is CRAZY!
But you know what, we have so much living we are doing right where we are at! I told Rick that I want to make sure that we are living life to the fullest here, rather than concentrating on selling our house so we can move on!
Yes, that house is so awesome! We love the town! We love the neighborhood! We want to move soon! But, God has a plan for us that may or may not include living in that house. I want God's best for us, for me, whatever that is!
COngrats It does sound amazing!!! that area is just so pretty!!
